WOW is all I can say about the result of our Spring Retreat this past weekend at Blackwater Falls!!! IT WAS FANTASTIC! We couldn't have asked for a nicer venue, sweeter guests, and the most beautiful spring, mountain weather! We will definitely have our Spring Retreat, 2014 at Blackwater Falls! Why mess with perfection? I hope all our guests post comments about their experience here! Come on ladies! Let's hear from you!

I had a wonderful time and got a lot accomplished. The accommodations were great and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this retreat. The entertainment was wonderful. The planners are to be congratulated on a job well done.

Tucked into the woods in the serene mountains of West Virginia I found the most amazing women...these gals from Woolen Willow put on the very best rug hooking retreat ! I will be attending in the future and bringing more friends with me next time. These ladies truly know how to organize and officiate a remarkably fun filled event that encourages creativity without any stress or pressure. Their laughter is infectious and their beautiful family was an inspiration to all of us who attended. They allowed lots of time to just mingle, relax and make new friends (which I did). Oh and did I tell you ...you could get really comfy...pj's and slippers allowed in the conference room !!! Thank you gals...This was my very first retreat but it wont be my last !

WOW!!! This was my first retreat and I had such a wonderful time with my friends and all the new people I met. The Blackwater Falls State Park was so beautiful that I can't wait to take my husband there. Everyone at the resort and retreat where very nice. I can not wait to plan for our next retreat together. Your family are so kind and very talented. Can't wait to see what you have planned for August Retreat.

I have been to a few rug hooking events and I have to say this was the best ever, From the very first welcoming hugs to the end - you sisters really know how to throw a party and my goodness so very talented! Sometimes you can feel intimidated being around such talent but everyone you made it so easy! Everyone was so helpful, kind, generous, willing to share information, etc. I could go on and on! I think everyone that was there knows what I mean! The "venue" was wonderful and relaxing and I came away with new friends! Can't wait for the next one!

I loved the retreat! I met some really nice quilters and hookers and hope to reunite with them at future Woolen Willow retreats. The little surprise gifts were a nice touch and the games were fun and well timed. Sign me up for the next one😊

Well, I must say, even though I am NOT a primitive person (I really like bright colors and polka dots) and am NOT a hooker (in the realm of wool) I did not feel out of place!!! I had a great time with lots of wonderful people, great accommodations, wonderful weather, fantastic scenery, good food, and a SUPER organized retreat at an affordable price with GREAT prizes and gifts. Thanks for a job well done. 😊

WOW Kathy! What wonderful compliments! Thanks so much, and I was so thrilled that we had such a wide variety of styles to look at and drool over! :) We had stitchers, sewers, and hookers! It was great! Hope to see you again at another one of our retreats soon!

This was my first retreat and a great experience! I am usually so shy and backward around people I don't know but not once did I feel that way! This family knows how to throw a fun time! I love the idea of having quilters and hookers come together to share their work.

Can you say AWESOME!!! My first retreat…won’t be my last!! Will definitely come back next year! You and your family undeniably pulled out the red carpet for us. From spending much needed quality time with my BFF (aka BSB) to learning how to work with wool, and even learned needle punch. Instructors were the Bomb!! Nothing was out of limits when asking for help, not only from the instructors but also from the other Ladies!! Great memories - laughing until I cried, I think we were slap happy at that point!! Thank you!!!

From California to West Virginia - what a wonderful trip! The four days were wonderful. Weather was perfect. The drive from Dulles to Davis was beautiful and Blackwater Falls was the perfect location for a relaxing retreat. All of the ladies were super sweet, especially Mom and the Sisters. I will be back (as our former CA governor was fond of saying).

Sally, thanks to all of you for a wonderful, fun, and relaxing retreat. My daughter and I especially enjoyed the guest speaker. What great and useful advise she had to share with us. It was nice to meet other quilters and hookers from various states. We sure hope to be with everyone next year.

Charlotte, thanks so much for the wonderful comments!! I'm thrilled that you and Cheryl came, and that you liked the guest speaker too! It was tough getting her since she is so booked (has so many "gigs" as she likes to put it), and she almost cancelled at the last minute too!!! See you at the shop!
